How to be an Asset instead of an Ass

Not sure where I got this meme from, but it’s perfect.

There will always be opportunities in which another human wishes to utilize any part of you that may be of benefit to themselves. This can be in the workplace, this is in relationships, this is everywhere. It is the general law of nature. For every action, there is an equal or opposite reaction. In religion we hear of it as well, to do unto others and you would want done unto you. Science and religion aren’t very far off from each other. They both try to quantify energy in layman’s terms and how to bring the most beneficial source and selection forward. So, let’s talk about it. How do we, as people, become an asset instead of a pain in the ass? Well the simple steps begin as such:

1. Identify your situation (getting married, new job, anything)

2. Know your role within the equation. i.e. What is the goal and how can you contribute to it?

3. Contribute what needs YOUR contribution Ex: too many lady princesses and not enough lady astrophysicists as seen in the photo (stay in your lane, fam)

4. Here, you have two choices depending on how invested you are. If you see that you aren’t getting your desired outcome, the equal or opposite reaction, either find out why and proceed accordingly or change direction. It’s not hard to be a nice person, but sometimes it is hard to meet someone else where they’re at emotionally, mentally, spiritually, etc. Everyone has feelings and priorities and goals and at times they can clash with others. If we take a step back and look at the fuller picture, we can present a better attitude for a more desirable outcome. Stay Woke, Salem’s Vision
